Just because you can never have too much Ryker!
This kiddo never stops smiling and cooing... yes I'm biased, but I am so in love with this little stinker! Some days I just want to crawl in his crib and cuddle...
6 month well baby visit:
18 lbs 6 ounces!
27 1/2 inches!
Ryker didn't even cry when he got his vaccines!
Life is good people! The sun is shinning today ( I'm still holding out before washing my car though...), my kids are cute! My house is clean, my laundry is folded... Aaaah, now if I can just get Mark to mow the lawn... :)

Fathers
Little Kimi (3 yrs) with Dad...
All my boys in my bed... There is no more room for mom.
Peyton wants to be just like dad when he grows up, pretending to play x-box!
Life is always a fun ride with daddy!
I am blessed enough to have 4 amazing brothers, and incredible father, and to have married my best friend who then became the most amazing father of our two rambunctious boys!
I love all the men in my life; and wish them and everyone a "Happy Father's Day!!"

Peyton goes to preschool
I am loving summer preschool and so is Peyton!
We talked up preschool for a few days, and Tuesday Peyton was so excited to go, however, when he arrived, he looked around, then looked at Mark and said- "Dad, I don't want to be here, I want to go to preschool..." "Um, kiddo- this IS preschool..."
There were a few tears at first, but he was happy when Mark picked him up to go home.

Then today, Peyton woke me up at the crack of dawn... (8 am- I know, it's not really that early, but it is...) he said "Mom! I have to get in the bath so I can go to preschool today!"
I think he really just loves to wear his backpack!
I am impressed that he understands the concept of time, and that we will go to preschool again next week!
Anyway, It's totally worth the $ for all the fun he is having, and I am loving the 2 hours with just Ryker. Aaaah...
Today at preschool was all about bugs! So fun! Peyton made a bug hat and a bug out of a plate that immediately went on the fridge when we got home! (because there is no place of higher honor than the fridge...)
He also caught rolly polly bugs that he is fascinated with, on the way home, he kept shaking the container and I told him he needed to stop because he was going to give the bugs a headache; and now all he talks about is that his bugs have a headache... "Be quiet mom, my bugs have a headache!"
Speaking of rolly polly bugs... Ryker now rolls throughout the house! We are officially in the "mobile" stage.
So I am really feeling like my babies are growing up today!

Top 10
The top 10 reasons why having 2 kids is better than 1
10. The obviousness of twice the love and twice the hugs and kisses.
9. The amazing sense of accomplishment I get when I can go to the grocery store with 2 kids- or when I get 2 kids ready for bed- or actually have a clean house all while having 2 kids! (it does wonders for my self esteem...)
8. Because I have an excuse for the 25 extra pounds I'm carrying around... Um- I had 2 kids people!!
7. Because I feel like we are such a family now, It's really going to make holidays and vacations all the more fun with 2 smiling faces to look at! :)
6. Every argument I have with Mark, I automatically win- Example: because I birthed 2 kids dear... I was in labor twice for you dear... I created life!!! Top that dear!!!
5. It's really sweet to see my 2 kids interact and laugh at each other. Taking pictures is also a lot more fun.
4. I have 2 more people to shop for... (Yes! Shopping) It's not even selfish because the stuff isn't even for me... And the clothes are so stinking cute... And when I find a little outfit I just love and It's kind of expensive, I think to myself, well, Peyton can wear it- and then Ryker can wear it! See, I'm totally justified!
3. Excuse for why my hair is never done... 2 kids! Excuse for why laundry is never done... 2 kids! Excuse for why I'm so tired... 2 kids! (I never had an excuse before the 2 kids...)
2. When Peyton throws a tantrum and temporarily hates me because I said NO; I can just go play with Ryker! He is too young to know any different, and just smiles and coos at me!
1. Because duh!! They are the cutest kids in the whole world, and I couldn't imagine my life without either of them!! My happiness has increased with each one of the men I have added to my life! (Mark counts too.)
See, 2 kids really is so much better than 1! (I guess if we're counting Mark, though, Then It's 3 kids! So 3 -is totally better than 1!)

My medical history
This post is really meant to be funny...
And it really doesn't feel like I'm dying, I'm not a hypochondriac, I don't think I'm crazy...
So we are 6 months into the year, let me now explain how I have essentially fallen apart in 6 simple months!
1. Gave birth to Ryker (2 week NICU stay)
2. Had root canal (seriously the worst thing ever!)
3. On the first day back to work from maternity leave (this is such a funny story if you know me...) I am changing a patients bed, and I just get hot and nauseous, so I leave and go to the break room, where I puke my guts out... pass out... and wake up with no feeling on the left side of my body! I couldn't talk or move. Yup, I had a "stroke like reaction" to the progesterone in my Mirena IUD. Luckily I work at a hospital where I am found by 2 doctors and a nurse. And yes! I'm totally fine now.
4. Umbilical hernia from birth of Ryker
5. Colonoscopy
6. 2nd root canal (still the worst thing EVER!)
7. Ganglion Cyst on my right radial tendon
These are the pictures I promised Cami, because the surgery was really cool. (I stayed awake- I'm sick like that..)
But to top all this fun-ness off, I now have a cellulitis infection in my right wrist!
And we're only halfway through the year!
It's a good thing my kids are adorable and my husband rocks, otherwise my life might just suck!
JK!
